



In the Pitts Special Biplane, the excitement starts right from take off with a half roll into a very low inverted pass. During his 13 minute precision performance, Bill smoothly executes tailslides, loops, multiple snap rolls, hammerheads and a mile long, low-level, knife-edge pass. Of course there are the Bill Carter trademarks----both inverted and knife-edge ribbon cuts! Bill keeps the performance right in front of the crowd at all times. The excellent smoke system, announcing and music provide great visibility and excitement-making this a show act everyone loves.

Georges “ Chicken” flies a dynamic 12 minute aerobatic performance in C-GEZZ, a beautiful Christen Eagle II powered by a Dick DeMars Lycoming AEIO-360 developing 220+ HP. This very agile dual-seat biplane is fitted with a smoke system and in the hands of a Chicken Man can delight the crowd with astonishing aerobatics. Why “Chicken”? Georges got his handle on the very first day of initiation at the Chicoutimi College . The story wont be complete unless you ask him personally but the outcome was that his classmate called him “Chicken George” as in the TV series Roots.

The Snowbirds are a Canadian national icon, a symbol of pride and unity for all Canadians. The Snowbirds have flown the CT-114 Tutor jet since 1971. The aircraft was designed and built in Canada and was used by the Canadian Forces as its basic pilot training aircraft until 2000. The jets are painted in a distinctive red and white paint scheme symbolic of Canada 's national flag. As members of the nation's military, the Snowbirds are proud to fly Canada 's colours across North America. The Snowbirds perform more than 50 different formations and maneuvers during their famed show.

According to Kevin, the best thing about being an aerobatic pilot is that you never have to grow up. He loves to do air shows, as they are a great way to see the country and meet some fabulous people. Kevin's Yak 55M is a Russian built airplane. Russian builts are unbelievably tough and are all about uncompromising performance. The Yak 55 has a 9 cylinder radial engine rated at 360HP, a roll rate of 345 degrees per second, a climb rate of 3200 ft per second, a constant speed prop, full inverted system and maximum speed of 279 mph on the downwind.

Veteran air show pilot and performer John Mrazek along with his Harvard Mark IV, "Pussycat II", will dazzle audiences, spectators, or anyone watching, with a spectacular aerial ballet. With lots of noise, smoke, and skill, John will bring the entire air show crowd to a standstill. Designed in 1939 by North American Aviation, over 20,000 Harvards were built by Canadian and American manufacturers, of which only a precious few remain flying today. The Harvard was used during World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and is an aeronautical classic that trained many of today's airline captains.

Featuring pilot Barry Pendrak making his maneuvers in his highly visible 300 h.p. fully inverted homebuilt Super Skybolt. Born and raised in Westlock AB , Barry now resides in Hondo, AB which is about 200 kilometers north of Edmonton. He is a commercially licensed pilot with over 30 years and 2000 hrs. experience flying a variety of aircraft. Early in Barry's flying career, he flew a North American B-25 Mitchell while water-bombing forest fires in northern Canada. He learned his unique aerobatic techniques while flying his Harvard many years ago.

What a ride! Ken Fowler and Eric Hansen in the Harmon Rocket II and F1 Rocket perform at high speeds, synchronize aerobatics. Team rocket provides plenty of noise, smoke, and a performance to remember. These two pilots bring with them incredible ability, experience and professionalism.

The Energetic City is excited to host the US Air Force West Coast Demo Team for the A10 Warthog. The A10 Warthog, based out of Tucson Arizona was specially designed for close air support of ground forces. They are simple, effective and survivable twin-engine jet aircraft that can be used against all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles.

April Zalesky, a native of Vancouver, BC, is the heart and soul of AV8FX. Born into a flying family, April, a licenced pilot as well as an Airshow Pyrotechnics Coordinator, has been involved in the airshow business from an early age. She was drawn into the excitement of airshow pyro and fireworks over 15 years ago and has produced pyrotechnic displays for both large and small shows across Canada and the United States.
